Job Description:

We currently are seeking a Vice President of Construction Services for our BE&K; Government Group based in Birmingham, AL.
- Supervise and direct project management and site superintendent teams that coordinate construction management and risk. Ensure team acts as a liaison with owners, designers, and contractors regarding project feasibility, cost, scheduling, change management, staffing, completion, and maintenance for multiple or single projects.
-Ensure that project management teams are successful in establishing pricing and/or fee structures with project owners and that budget and work plans are formulated and implemented, and project status reports are prepared. Ensure teams oversee the construction to assure compliance with contract documents and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 15+ years experience in construction management, buildings, and infrastructure. Start-up experience is a plus.
- Prior experience at a Sr. Construction Director level or above, managing departmental budgets, profit and loss responsibilities for all design build and other construction work activities, salary administration, personnel assessment, training, direct supervision of staff (Project Managers, Site Superintendents, etc.), employee mentoring and development.
- 10 years Federal Government contracting experience. DOD background preferred.
- Strong managerial background supervising others as well as excellent communication, organizational, motivational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Must be flexible for up to 25% business travel.
-Minimum of BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable degree. (PE preferred).
