The Project Director is responsible for the overall on-site management for project construction for a high rise in Aventura, FL. Responsible for day-to-day management of the general contractor, architect and engineers, and Jurisdictions Having Authority. Provide project oversight to achieve or exceed schedule, budget, and quality goals.
This position will establish quality control and assurance plans and monitor general contractor's compliance; review all documents, including plans and specifications, RFIs, submittals, and changes to the GMP documents; Review and evaluate project schedule to ensure that milestone and final completion dates are achieved; Review and approve general contractor�s and vendor's monthly pay requests and any requests for additional cost and schedule extensions; and lead and ensure a smooth hand-off of the completed facility to the building operations staff.
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture degree, and minimum 10 years of comparable experience; Skilled at maintaining and evaluating quality, schedule, and budget of $70M+ projects; Technical understanding of building systems; experience with and a thorough understanding of the Guaranteed Maximum Price delivery system; Broad-based computer skills; and the ability to travel.
