Job Description:
Candidate will have strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering to perform power and lighting design for renovation and new construction for large (700,000 sq ft) commercial facility. Must be proficient with National Electrical and NFPA codes. The candidate should also have basic knowledge in Mechanical and Architectural discipline.

The position will manage a small in-house engineering group and outside contractors. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for power distribution design and building system design such as fire alarm, data/communication, security, and mechanical equipment controls. Candidate must be able to perform and manage complex technical work and be capable of working independently and/or directing multiple and large projects, interacting with County personnel, and contractors. The individual in this role will assist in development of RFP’s and SOW’s as well as developing design criteria, managing projects, schedule, and budget. The Facilities Manager will also be expected to mentor other engineers and assist in training as needed.

Qualified candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience. Candidate will require a Professional (PE) license from state of Virginia. The qualified candidate will have experience completing design projects from beginning to end for large commercial and industrial facilities.
