Job Description:

As Director of Development you will be responsible for the accomplishment of assigned company objectives as they relate to the development and construction within the Development Group of National Retails Properties, Inc. in support of company goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently manages multiple development projects from project budgets to site identification through property disposition into the REIT or syndication.
Conducts feasibility analysis on new sites under consideration for development.
Coordinates the timing of the land purchase with project cost, development schedule and lease timing issues.
Oversees and approves consultant selection in the areas of geotechnical, environmental, civil engineering, and architectural design.
Manages the design and permit process, and the bidding process for the construction contract.
Coordinates between lessee, architect, civil engineer and contractor in the interpretation of plans and specifications for development.
Recommends alternative structuring of contractual relationships with partners, landowners and tenants.
Oversees scheduling and accomplishment of site work and building construction in accordance with lease criteria.
Provides interface and coordination with Real Estate Director, Vice President, Managers, and client/landowner on development issues as required.
Interfaces with the lessee and contractor throughout construction process.
Assists in the formation of the lease as needed.

Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S. in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Real Estate Development) from four-year college or university; and at least five years related experience (multi-tenant, real estate construction and development).
