Job Description:
Lantz Construction Company, a 46-year general contracting firm specializing in design-build construction, seeks an experienced Architect to lead its Design & Engineering Department. Candidate must show initiative, leadership, and be able to supervise existing design staff. Must be a team player, capable of interfacing with clients from pre-construction services through project completion. Candidate will lead and coordinate multiple design teams (owners, estimators, structural civil, MEP, subcontractors, etc.) in an open and collaborative work environment. Individual must be experienced in all phases of the design process with creative design and graphic skills, including proficiency in CAD and 3-D modeling. Field experience preferred. Must be proficient at preparing and reviewing construction drawings. Will be responsible for all aspects of code compliance. Must be Registered Architect in Virginia with minimum 5 years experience in non-residential construction. Great opportunity for career advancement in a team environment with a mid-sized firm.
