Construction Executive Job Location:Tampa, FL. Estimated Cash Compensation: Unspecified
Job Description:
Senior leadership role. Responsible for the companies� internal and external reporting needs.
Provide in-depth analysis of monthly financial statements to the CEO and President, including research, recommendations and summary information.
Champion cost reduction and cash preservation activities.
Pro actively manage the operations of the accounting staff: Job Cost, GL, AP, AR and payroll. Oversee and review general ledger detail for accuracy.
Develop and maintain internal and operational controls necessary to monitor company performance and ensure compliance as applicable.
Review current procedures and controls, evaluate and provide recommendations for improvement.
Oversee broker for renewal and maintenance of liability and property insurance policies.
Partner with field management on a wide-variety of issues pertaining to general business operations.
Maintain positive banking / financing relationships.
Arrange equipment financing.
Maintenance of the accounting policies and procedures.
Oversee the annual budget system and process.
Oversee accounting software administration including controls and implementation of any new or upgraded financial software systems.
Act as senior interface with our independent auditors and internal auditors.
Provide advice and recommendations, as requested, to the President on all matters relating to the Company's operational procedures and reporting.
Review current tax strategies and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
MBA with CPA license
10 + years of financial and accounting related work
5 + years in corporate leadership role
Experience in Construction and Real Estate Development a must
Skills:
Firm understanding of GAAP Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Computer Skills
Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve
