Job Description:
Tidewater Utilities Inc, a rapidly growing, Dover Delaware-based water and waste-water utility, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to manage its substantial regulated and unregulated services and operations. Tidewater Utilities Inc. is a subsidiary of Middlesex Water Company, a stable, well-respected, NASDAQ-listed water utility company headquartered in New Jersey.
The selected individual will be based in Delaware and will: � Manage Company practices and procedures for water treatment and distribution, waste-water collections and treatment, and related infrastructure maintenance. � Develop, execute and monitor long range planning and objectives. � Prepare specifications and bidding documents for capital programs, construction and outsourced activities related to operations. � Oversee related construction. � Prepare, review, and present operations reports to Company executives and Boards of Directors. � Oversee the compliance of all related functions with related regulations and creation and submission of required reports to regulatory agencies. � Prepare and oversee the execution of short and long term capital and operating budgets. � Perform other related functions.

Candidates must: have a Bachelor�s degree in engineering or related sciences; 10 years experience in managing water/wastewater operations; possess or have the ability to obtain appropriate Delaware licenses to operate public water and wastewater systems: a strong understanding of Federal and State regulations relating to Water and Wastewater systems; and possess a valid Driver�s license.
In addition, they must be fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs; have excellent written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills. Formal training in project management would be a definite plus.
