Job Description:
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), a national trade association representing commercial construction contractors, seeks experienced and creative professional for Director, Contracts & Construction Law Position.

Principal Responsibilities: This position will help direct the marketing efforts of AGC�s comprehensive standard construction contract documents program including developing marketing strategies with internal staff & external vendors and expanding AGC�s customer base. The position will assist the Senior Counsel in researching and writing legal issues affecting construction contracts and intellectual property rights. The position also leads our customer service efforts regarding customers� questions on contract content and technology applications. The Director will lead coordination efforts of technology issues pertaining to the delivery and sales of AGC contract documents through a proprietary software product. The position will also provide liaison with members and other construction industry association staff.

Job Requirements: The successful candidate will have a background in some or all of the following areas: marketing, legal, trade association, intellectual property and/or technology. Knowledge and skills in the following areas are needed: marketing, legal research, written and verbal communication and project management. They will be an enthusiastic, creative self-starter who can multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong oral communication & presentation skills req�d. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience req�d. Association or construction industry experience is a plus. BA or BS req�d. J.D. or Paralegal degree a plus. Occasional travel req�d.
