Job Description:
Delta Faucet is seeking a seasoned professional to join our sales team as a Director of Residential New Construction. This position will work with and through a team of Sales Managers to grow Delta Faucet Company's sales, profitability, market share and brand recognition within the new residential construction segment. The Director of Residential New Construction is responsible for providing leadership as well strategic and operational direction for the residential new construction/builder segment.
Accountabilities include:
Lead development of the builder segment strategy � including resource levels, optimal distribution model, budget and profitability - and drive execution of the same
Enable cross-functional coordination (both intra and inter-function) to support and enhance delivery of a consistent customer experience for the new residential construction/builder segment
Proactively communicate business developments and keep the sales team and other stakeholders informed
Actively develop staff, broadening their competencies and experiences
Support development and drive execution of applicable channel strategies for the trade business
Demonstrate strong leadership, promote team effectiveness and collaboration and live the DFC values
Effectively manages agreed upon budgets to plan.
Develop strong business relationships with customers, providing a solid understanding of their needs and effectively share that knowledge throughout organization
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service to optimize program and promotional spend.
Collaborate within sales to ensure successful alignment and execution of segment plans; ensure ownership and successful execution of account plans for named national or large regional key accounts; oversee sales to strategic customers and supervise sales and contracting processes for strategic customers to reinforce superior service quality
Develop and manage national account and segment specific tracking and reporting and communicate ongoing results to manager and appropriate functions; provide analysis and management of product mix within the segment
Support product development and launches by providing insight and input regarding customer priorities and product needs
Develop strong relationships within segments � represent Delta at key trade customer functions; determine strategy, direction and message for any trade shows that relate to the segment
Collaborate with other Masco divisions, sharing knowledge and ensuring alignment, to create a competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in business or related field (MBA a plus), and at least 7 years of related sales experience, including 5 or more years selling to builders; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Established and strong relationships with top builders is necessary for successful execution of position. Seeking a strategic thinker who is comfortable challenging the status quo and can effectively implement change. Must be able to collaborate cross-functionally and share information throughout the organization to help Delta Faucet achieve its goals. The successful candidate will have a customer focus and understand how decisions/changes impact the customer. Must instill a strong sense of accountability in their team and be able to effectively develop team members.
