Job Description:
Reports to:
Regional Manager with Functional Guidance from Corporate Marketing Director

Scope of Responsibilities:
Conducts public and private sector business development activities. Identifies opportunities to improve public sector (i.e. Federal, State & Local Governments, FDOT, Expressways, Ports, Airports, Special Districts) and private sector market penetration and business development including strengthening relationships with current clients and the recruitment of new clients. Serves as client relations liaison and monitors client satisfaction. Responsible for fostering long-term client relationships, cultivating repeat business, cross-selling services, targeting new clients and securing new business.

Supports corporate marketing, public relations, advertising and promotional activities. Assists in the development of the annual regional marketing plan and is responsible for its implementation. Responsible for monitoring and achievement of the region's fees goals. Responsible for developing and tracking regional marketing activities, leads, proposals, and budgets.

Duties: 1. Facilitate the development of fee goals for each office and department as part of the regional marketing plan.
2. Develop annual fee goals and marketing budgets for regional offices and departments.
3. Monitor monthly performance of fees by office and department. Work with individual department heads to develop recovery plans as needed.
4. Compile and monitor monthly regional project leads and proposals.
5. Monitor marketing budgets by department and work with department heads to adjust marketing activities accordingly.
6. Assist in identification of target markets, trends, and competitive analyses.
7. Lead and monitor regional promotional activities, including attendance at industry events and governmental/political functions.
8. Provides support to Corporate Marketing Department with advertising & public relations functions including:
a. Media Relations (newspaper, etc.) responding to media inquiries.
b. Preparation of Award submittals.
c. Representing the firm at trade shows, job fairs and speaking engagements.
d. Maintaining corporate client database.
e. Maintaining regional "head shot" photography.
f. Securing regional project photography.
g. Securing & maintaining regional construction site signage locations.
h. Assisting in corporate recruiting activities.
i. Assisting in copy writing
j. Maintaining up-to-date corporate approved collateral materials, signage and wall hangings (i.e. photos, mission statement, vision statement, corporate values) in regional office lobby areas.
8. Monitor existing public sector continuing contracts, maintain client communication, maximize contract fee generation and work with corporate marketing team to pursue contract renewals & RFP's.
9. Monitor public sector construction projects (roadway, utility and facility), identify key opportunities and secure strategic "teaming" arrangements with target "Prime" clients.
10. Network, initiate, and cultivate client relationships via participation in professional associations, public advisory boards, tradeshows, community causes, etc.
11. Create regional private sector proposals.
12. Provide support to Corporate Marketing Department with Marketing functions including:
a. Securing project photography (take photographs or obtain from project owner).
b. Oversee the preparation and rehearsal of presentations.
c. Assist in the coordination and production of regional information necessary for the timely production of public sector "Prime" proposals and DOT Letters of Interest (LOI's).

Relationship to others:
Works directly with Regional Manager, Office Managers, Department Managers and Corporate Marketing Team.

Limits of Authority:
Has authority to solicit constant input from department heads in order to effectively set fee goals and then monitor, measure and maintain them. Has authority to recommend adjustments to regional marketing budget allocations. Has considerable autonomy in determining the firm's public image.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising/P.R. or closely related field and five years of relevant work experience in the professional services marketing arena; preferably in an engineering environment.

Skill Requirements:
Outgoing, friendly, professional attitude. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills. Ability to adapt to develop business contacts with both private and public sector client groups. Ability to manage time well and accomplish tasks with little or no supervision. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel programs). Ability to travel regularly in the greater Hillsborough multi-county region.
