Job Description:

Key responsibilities of this position include:
Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined
within
contract specifications.
Interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction
with
Mechanical Project Department Engineer and Mechanical Superintendent;
provide drawings and data, and direct work as assigned and consistent
with
contractual commitments.
May perform subcontract administration of mechanically specific or
assigned
procurements; may perform in an EPC environment where Company is either
solely responsible or in a Joint Venture/Consortium with others.
Provide technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and
specification requirements, as well as general guidance to
subcontractors on
overall design; interpret and administer fundamental commercial issues.
Provide commercial direction, interpretation of subcontracts, and
administer
discipline specific or assigned contract requirements in coordination
with
Field Subcontract Administrator or Procurement Manager.
Review and maintain records and respond to Contractor Information
Requests
(CIRs) as assigned; monitor assigned subcontractor(s) for compliance
with
subcontract technical requirements.
Monitor discipline construction activities for compliance with the CPM
schedule; prepare and issue all discipline extra work authorization
requests
(RFMPs/WAs) with the approval of the Project Field Manager and maintain
a
daily log for site record purposes.
Review all subcontractor progress payment requests for acceptance,
monitor
technical service representative (supplier) daily logs, and
review/approve
timesheets.
Assist Field Quality Assurance Manager in performing inspections and
verification of tests and adhere to safety and quality standards as
appropriate for level of duties and accountabilities.
Support continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects
associated with the implementation of improvements.
The preferred candidate will possess:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program
in
the USA or an engineering program, offered by a foreign institution,
accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the
individual
is practicing.
2 to 6 years construction management and/or design experience in similar
facility construction.
PE preferred.
This is a long-term field assignment located in Aberdeen, Ohio. Travel
and housing expenses will be covered.
