Colorado College invites applications for the position of Director of Facilities. Founded in 1874, Colorado College is a private, four-year, independent coeducational liberal arts college of 1950 undergraduate students. It is located on a 90-acre campus in downtown Colorado Springs, on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The Director of Facilities Services reports to the Vice President for Business and Finance/Treasurer. The department staffing level currently is at 66 full-time, 1 part-time, and temporary/on call employees as needed. The Director of Facilities Services provides leadership and overall direction of physical plant for the major functional areas of the Facilities Services Department: campus planning, capital programs (design and construction), operations and maintenance, grounds, custodial, transportation, mail services, utility and technical services (includes engineering), and environmental health and safety. S/he is responsible for administering and managing facilities services resources including personnel, budget, materials, and equipment. Colorado College is in the final stages of completing a campus Long Range Development Plan (LRDP). This plan identifies the College�s planning principles and design guidelines for future campus development. The Director is the technical advisor to the College's administration in all matters pertaining to College facilities
