Job Description:
This role is responsible for completing construction and renovations by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff, managing contracts, materials, supplies and records.
Key Functions:
Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
Accomplishes construction project results by calculating resources required; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating sub-contractors; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining permits from city building departments; prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
7+ years related experience.
Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication and team management skills.
Extensive travel required.
