Job Description:
The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, has an exciting opportunity in health care facilities construction. Initial assignment will be to assist a project manager with field observations and oversight of the Cancer Institute project. Responsible for administering contracts for construction, phases of new construction, utility renovations, and major maintenance projects. Will also prepare contract administration portion of specifications and write/process change orders and contracts. Coordinate the construction phase of projects to ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and University standards. Supervise building turnover phase on construction projects and follow-up on customer requests relating to contract requirements. Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus three years of work-related experience. Requires frequent contact with contractors and customers plus knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and building codes. Previous experience with hospital or health care facility projects preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with very good possibility of re-funding.
