Construction Executive Job Location:Murray, UT Estimated Cash Compensation: Unspecified
Job Description:
This individual will work closely with the Vice President Construction to manage the homebuilding process of multiple communities, including townhomes, condominiums, and single family product types. This position coordinates the efforts of the production team to ensure the delivery of quality homes within set limits of cost and time.
Duties:
- Oversee all field construction activities at all communities.
- Provide weekly progress updates of home construction activity.
- Be familiar with local codes and inspection requirements and ensure compliance.
- Resource leveling of trade contractors and field personnel.
- Understand house budgets, overheads and cost control mechanisms.
- Promote customer satisfaction through direct customer contact and meeting customers� established expectations.
- Ensure high level conformance to construction specifications.
- Handle tight deadlines and short notice on changes with complete flexibility.
- Must make on-site decisions as to whether a process or product meets company expectations.
- Ability to value-engineer working drawings.
- Understand building process of commercial, residential, and condominium construction.
- Assist VP of Construction in costing, trade contractor management and recruiting.
- Interface with city officials, architects, and engineers and resolve any plan/site conflicts.
- Provide training and technical support for Project Managers/Supervisors.
- Ensure conformance to UOSHA regulations and be OSHA certified.
- Develop and coordinate training programs for field personnel regarding best practices, quality assurance processes, and scheduling systems.
- Monitor Project Manager/Supervisor schedules to meet company start and closing objectives.
- Interacts and collaborates with customer care manager to minimize homeowner callbacks and facilitate a timely completion of warranty requests.
- Interacts and collaborates with purchasing manager to minimize cost overruns, produce accurate takeoffs ad identify qualified trade contractors.
- Work with Land Development team during site review process; understand general earthwork balancing and infrastructure installation.
