Job Description:
LAMBERT Architecture + Interiors is a design firm providing the business, education and public markets with architectural, planning, and interior design services. Founded in 1989, the firm employs a staff of 40 professionals and serves clients throughout the Southeast from its Winston-Salem, NC office.
We are actively seeking an experienced Business Development Coordinator with 3-5 years experience in a service based industry. Knowledge of architecture is a plus. Education required for the position is equivalent of Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations. The position reports to and works directly with the Managing Principal.Overall qualifications for the position are as follows:
SKILL SET:
Creative with strong conceptual vision. Superior verbal and written communications, including composition, grammar, and proofreading. Strong organization skills. Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities
SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY:
Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; and Corel Draw, and Photoshop. Proficiency in photography is preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. MARKET SECTORS
Assists in the establishment of goals, objectives, strategies, and budget(s) for designated market sectors, new business opportunities, and assigned projects.
Lead finding, research, and establishment of key contacts.
Coordinate in-house team and consultant efforts to prepare responses, submittals, statements-of-interest, requests-for-qualifications, presentations/interviews, proposals, and firm performance critiques.
Develop and maintain clients/prospects electronic database and paper files. Purge/clean on bi-annual basis.
Maintain presentation equipment and train in house personnel to use. Insure equipment is in proper working order prior to each presentation.
Monitor success/failure rates. Prepare status reports
II. COMMUNICATIONS
EXTERNAL
Promote firm through: announcements in publications; press releases; market sector or services-specific magazine articles; industry rankings; design awards programs; and firm website.
Develop and maintain media contacts.Promote firm's philanthropic objectives.Maintain firm's graphic identity and standards.
Develop and maintain collateral materials including but not limited to, market sector brochure system, staff recruitment brochure system, promotional materials, and project photographs.
Coordinate/attend promotional initiatives such as conferences, seminars, trade shows and web casts.
Maintain and update firm's website, jobsite signage program, and group mailing lists.
Participate in related professional organizations (i.e. AIA, IFMA, SMPS) when appropriate.
INTERNAL
Develop and maintain calendar of significant dates.
Promote firm through announcements on firm bulletin board(s) and firm intranet regarding staff/projects/activities.
Coordinate display of awards and photography within the office.
Develop and maintain firm's intranet.
