Job Description:
A diversified industrial contractor, based in Georgia. They have extensive experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical and refining, power and cogeneration, pulp and paper, and industrial gas industries. Their project portfolio consists of work throughout the United States and parts of Canada.
Typically, they direct hire and execute the work on an open shop basis, including all civil and structural steel, scaffold erection, heavy rigging, heavy mechanical equipment assembly and installation, and process pipe installation. In fact, they self perform 95 percent of the work they undertake.
They have been recognized for excellence in construction, as well as our safety and quality performance. In 2004 they were honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors with a First Place Award for exemplary safety performance, as part of their National Safety Awards program.
Job Description:
Hands on development, planning and supervision of all human resource functions including training, development, budgeting, performance appraisal systems and benefits administration. Develop and implement all Human Resource standards and procedures. Assure compliance with relevant regulations. Manage recruiter position.
Duties:
Maintains organizational staff by managing the development of effective recruiting, testing and interviewing programs; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting exit interviews and recommending improvements in related practices;
Conducts and/or coordinates new employee orientation and training programs;
Develops and manages employee retention initiatives and programs.
Maintain and communicate employee benefit programs;
Maintain human resource records system.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years Human Resource management experience;
Undergraduate degree in relevant field;
High level of energy, creativity and independent thinking;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent computer skills;
Familiarity with construction business.
