Job Description:
Oversee the new hotel project planning and approval phases, feasibility studies, architectural and interior design reviews
Source, qualify, recommend and solicit bids for general contractor/subcontractors.
Evaluate bids to determine opportunities for cost/time savings
Day-to-day management of contractors/subcontractors and vendors involved with assigned projects
Forecasts financial requirements, schedules and monitors expenditures, analyzes variances, and initiates corrective action
Responsible for cost and schedule controls of projects to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
On-site construction oversight
Prepare weekly project status report outlines, schedules, variance to budget, potential cost overruns or additional work. Proactively communicate potential areas that may impact schedule and/or budget
Provide on-going communication of overall scope of work with operations team at the property to assure minimal disruption to guests and to revenue
Requirements include:
10+ years experience in construction management with a minimum of four years� experience in ground up hotel and/or hotel condo projects
Proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Timberline software a plus
Ability to generate, update and maintain weekly project status reports
Well-organized self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities
Extensive travel required
