Job Description:
As a result of rapid growth in its Northern California development pipeline, Meridian Property Company is looking for a Vice President of Construction. The Vice President of Construction�s primary responsibility is to lead a team to acquire entitlements, develop construction drawings and supervise construction management teams. More specifically, the VP of Construction manages and directs an in-house construction management team and acts a liaison with architects, engineers and outside contractors regarding project feasibility, cost, scheduling, change order management, and completion of all of the Company�s Northern California projects. This position is also responsible for design development participation, pre-construction, tenant coordination, close out and warranty phase management. In addition, the candidate will be required to provide cost, design and schedule data for the preparation of investment feasibility analysis and participate in Investment Committee presentations.

Candidate must have 10+ years experience in the construction management of site work, building shells, interior improvements and infrastructure in single and multi-story office development including steel frame and concrete tilt construction methods. The candidate must have prior experience as Sr. Construction Director, level or above, managing department budgets, profit and loss responsibilities for all design build and other construction work activities and strong leadership and managerial experience in salary administration, staffing evaluations, training/development, mentoring and direct supervision of staff (Project Managers, Project Coordinator and Construction Admin). Must have knowledge and experience in value engineering and permit entitlement procedures. Candidate must have ability to travel including overnight stays. Bachelor�s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable degree required.

Successful candidate will be offered an attractive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, auto allowance as well as benefits consistent with market.
