Job Description:
Lennar Corporation, one of the largest and most respected homebuilders in the country, has an immediate opening for a Vice President of Operations for its Homebuilding Division in Phoenix, Arizona. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and completing all aspects of home construction while coordinating compliance with all project requirements. Individual will prepare budgets, oversee scheduling and monitor budget costs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain construction schedules from marketing mix establishment through end of warranty period.
Coordinate all construction activities with constant communication with other departments.
Maintain and monitor SWPP on all projects once home construction has commenced through processing or NOT.
Monitor and complete all warranted customer care items to meet company requirements.
Provide accurate and concise feasibility budgets to all scheduled and requested feasibility projects.
Supervise the monitoring of market costs for materials and overall construction costs of division cost analysis.
Maintain good work ethic and working relationship between division construction staff and municipalities as well as other builder organizations.
Responsible for vertical construction budget.
Supervises Project Managers and Director of Construction.
Responsible for all construction activity both on-site and off-site.
Responsible for achieving excellent scores in both Customer Satisfaction and Buyer Recommendation
Coordinates activities and contract of outside consultants; Homebuilding
Cost controls pursuant to budgets. Monitors and forecasts construction schedules
Responsible for quality control in construction and Zero Defects Policy
Responsible for site and inventory maintenance.
Coordinates compliance with conditions of maps and Conditions of Approval to achieve occupancy.
Insures timely house closures as outlined in monthly closing meetings.
Responsible for Heightened Awareness and must consistently achieve a minimum of 1.5 rating.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor�s degree in construction management or related field, Masters degree preferred.
7 to 10 years of vertical and horizontal construction experience
Strong management and motivational skills
Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in public presentations
Should have a solid understanding of cost estimating and purchasing skills
Valid, unrestricted, motor vehicle license.
