Job Description:
We are a dynamic real estate development company located in Indianapolis, IN. We specialize in apartment and self-storage development, construction, and management.

The Director of Construction will be responsible and accountable for the cost effective construction and rehabilitation of new and existing development projects.

The Director will supervise project managers, establish and monitor project budgets/schedules, contract for engineering and architectural services, work with development staff to review prospective sites and projects, develop and maintain historical database of costs, supervise bidding process and execute contracts. The position will also secure building permits, establish and monitor quality/cost controls, work with accounting staff on timely vendor invoice, coordinate efforts between management, department and construction staff, and provide reports to VP of Construction.

We are looking for 15+ years experience in multi-family, light commercial and land development construction or 8 years of total experience and a college degree. Candidate should have the ability to read, educate and implement all facets of engineering and architectural plans and specifications, knowledge of general construction practices and national, state and local building codes. Ability to use MS Office and construction related software is required.
