"Help Wanted: Construction President- California"

Construction Executive Job
Location: California
Estimated Cash Compensation: Undisclosed

Job Description:
Midsized, general contractor/construction manager seeks President for its West Coast operation. The company is an established, privately-held firm that specializes in private (some public) work on commercial and institutional building projects (including retail, office, schools, and hospitals). The firm is profitable and financially strong (able to triple its current capacity). It enjoys a quality reputation and has solid, mid-management teams that know the local markets.

The owner seeks a quality, market-driven leader that can take the firm to the next level both locally and regionally. The position reports directly to the owner, and will supervise all departments and divisions, while overseeing clients and planning. This is a unique career opportunity that offers tremendous growth and exceptional pay to an ambitious achiever who has vision and requires the flexibility and financial support to achieve greatness. The owner understands that to get the best talent, you need to create an environment that allows talent to thrive, and encourages them with excellent pay.

The owner believes finding the right leader with the right skills is more important than finding someone from the local markets. Consequently candidates can come from anywhere in the USA (relocation package included). Candidates must have functioned as a president or profit center manager (divisional manager) with a stable job history in commercial building construction. Candidates should be market-driven visionaries, who are also good leaders with strong people and management skills.

About The Employer:
Hornberger Management Company is an established, construction executive search firm exclusively dedicated to corporate board member and senior executive recruitment for the construction industry. We find Board Directors, Chairman, Presidents, CEO's, COO's, CFO's and the senior officers who report to them. In addition, we find outside corporate directors and contract executives for consulting or interim assignments.

We have organized our firm around a small group of senior professionals qualified to conduct high-level search assignments. Many of our consultants are degreed engineers who have held executive posts with contractors, in addition to amassing years of experience as construction recruiters. Furthermore, we provide unmatched, industry-specific research and networking capabilities at the highest levels to help you gain access to accomplished construction executives who are simply unreachable without an introduction.

Our services are retained, and extend exclusively to businesses in construction such as general contractors, specialty contractors, highway and heavy contractors, construction managers, program managers, design build firms and engineering contractors (EPC). In addition we also service real estate developers, universities and corporate owners that employ senior construction executives.
