Most recently, Mr. Johnson provided his services to Flag Luxury properties, a privately-held company engaged in several large domestic and international construction projects As senior project manager, he played the lead role in orchestrating the build-out of a $600M six-star resort. Here, he succeeded not only in acquiring an additional $8M in funding, but generated revenues of $14M in post-sale modifications.
Preceding this tenure, Mr. Johnson was the President and Co-owner of Florida Preferred Homes, a $5M custom home designer and builder. He achieved 11% net profitability within two years by providing leadership to all aspects of the operation, including sales, land acquisition, contract management, financial oversight, and product development.
As VP of Construction at Medallion Homes Gulf Coast, a $40M privately held semi-custom homebuilder, Mr. Johnson oversaw and managed $40M in ongoing construction projects. During his engagement, he developed and implemented strategies to significantly increase product quality, elevate customer satisfaction, and improve profitability margins.
Before these successes Mr. Johnson provided leadership to Arthur Rutenberg Homes, a $30M privately held ultra-custom homebuilder. Within three years, he directed the full-lifecycle construction of 20 custom homes (each with an average value of $900K) to achieve 12% net profitability rates and 0% defects per phase. Mr. Johnson also added average revenues of $100K per home at 40% profit by driving sales of upgrades and change orders to homeowners.
Mr. Johnson received his education in Business Management from Northwood Institute in Midland, Michigan, and he is a licensed contractor in the State of Florida.
